AutoCAD: Rounding objects - how it works
This practical tip explains how you can round corners of surfaces and objects in AutoCAD.
AutoCAD: Round objects
With the vector-oriented drawing program AutoCAD you can create professional, technical drawings. If you would like to round off your objects and areas, proceed as follows:
- Start AutoCAD and open a new or existing drawing.
- Then draw your desired object.
- Now enter the "Round down" command on the keyboard and confirm with [Enter]. Alternatively, you can also call up the function with the rounding icon under the "Change" tab (see screenshot).
- Then click on "Radius" in the lower command bar and enter a desired rounding radius. Confirm your entry again with [Enter].
- Then mark the two lines of your object that are to be rounded off. Tip: Before you select the second line, you can use the preview to trace your future rounding.
- Your two lines were rounded according to the radius after selection.
