In the graphic drawing program AutoCAD you can change the background color of your work surfaces. In this article, we explain exactly how to do this.
AutoCAD: How to change the background color
The working area of the graphic drawing program AutoCAD can be individually adapted to user requirements. You can change the background color of the software with the following steps:
- Start AutoCAD.
- Enter the "Options" command using the keyboard. After you have confirmed your entry with [Enter], a new window opens with the title "Options".
- Under the tab "Display" and "Color scheme" you can change the color of your work surfaces. You can choose between the colors light or dark.
- If you want to change the color of your drawing area, you have to click on the "Colors" button. A new window called "Drawing Window Colors" will open (see screenshot).
- Under "Color" you can select any color for your drawing area. Your color selection is confirmed with the "Apply & Close" button.
- Your color settings will be saved after AutoCAD exits and will be automatically loaded the next time.
