Bank of Scotland: This is how the login works
To log in to the Bank of Scotland, unlike many other direct banks, you not only need a user name and password, but also the answer to a security question of your choice. We'll show you how to set it up and use it here.
Set up the login at the BoS
When setting up an account with Bank of Scotland, you should consider the following when choosing your login:
- Find a user name that you can remember well.
- Choose a password that is as secure as possible, ideally consisting of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.
- Decide on a security question, the answer of which you always have ready. "Where's your parents' house?" offers itself, for example.
How to log in to the Bank of Scotland
Once you have activated your account, you can access it online. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Visit the homepage of the direct bank:.
- Click on the green login button. A new window will open.
- Enter your username and password here.
- From here on, the Bank of Scotland deviates from the "normal" login procedure. You must also answer the selected security question. Pay attention to upper and lower case.
- Important: When you are done with online banking, you should not forget to log out. On other computers in particular, you should also remember to delete the history and cookies and close the browser window.
Tip: Despite the security question, you can easily access your account sales using multi-banking apps such as "Outbank" for iPhone or iPad.
