Clean computer mouse - you should pay attention to this
If your computer mouse stops working properly, you should clean it. We'll tell you what you need to consider.
Clean computer mouse properly - so it'll work
Since there is also a lot of technology in a mouse, you should avoid using a lot of water and very strong detergents from the outset. The following tips will get your mouse clean quickly even without these agents:
- There is often dust that has accumulated between the buttons and the mouse wheel. You remove this by hand by turning the mouse wheel and pulling out the dust that is carried along.
- If that is not enough, you should use a compressed air spray. This will remove dirt even in inaccessible places.
- A roller cleaner is also particularly worthwhile for the mouse wheel. With this cleaner you also avoid the risk that your mouse wheel will no longer work properly. For example, ordinary window cleaner can ensure that your mouse wheel no longer turns.
- You can usually clean a normal plastic mouse with a damp cloth. You can also use some disinfectant to really catch every dust particle.
- A damp cloth cannot be used for mice that have a special coating, such as the Razer Lachesis. The surface becomes sticky and the dust gets stuck. You should only use a dry cloth here.
- You should only unscrew your mouse in an emergency. There is not much dust accumulating here. However, only use a cotton swab inside and remove the dirt very carefully.
