Create CS: GO: LAN server
If you want to play CS: GO with friends at home, you can create a private LAN server at any time. We'll show you how to do it step by step.
Step 1: Activate console in CS: GO
Note: This step must be done by all players.
- Start CS: GO and click on the "Options" in the top right menu.
- Select the "Keyboard / Mouse" category and scroll down to the very bottom.
- Here you will find the assignment of the "Open console" option. The character "=" is set as standard.
- Change the key assignment if necessary and return to the main menu.
Step 2: Create CS: GO server for the LAN
Note: This step only needs to be done by one player, the host.
- Click "Play" at the top of CS: GO and select the "Offline with Bots" option.
- Select a desired mode and a map and click on "Go" below.
- Once the map has been loaded, open the console and enter the command "sv_lan 1".
- If you confirm the process with the [Enter] key, the server can be reached in the network.
- Now enter the command "status", you will find the line "udp / ip" with your IP and the associated port. Your teammates need this data.
Step 3: join LAN server in CS: GO
Note: This step must be done by all other players to join.
- Start CS: GO and open the console first.
- Enter the command "connect" followed by IP and the port.
- Confirm the command with the [Enter] key and join the LAN server.
- In this example the correct command is: "connect 192.168.0.158:27015".
