Copy file: It's so clever using drag & drop
Copying a file quickly is particularly clever with drag & drop. You can copy the file to another or the same folder with one hand, without removing the original file. We show how it works.
Copy file using drag & drop
To copy and paste a file, you can right-click it and click "Copy" and paste it elsewhere in the same way. The key combination [Ctrl] + [C] for copying and [Ctrl] + [V] for pasting is also known. But few know that files can also be copied using drag & drop:
- To do this, first select all files that you want to copy.
- Then press the [Ctrl] key and drag the selected files to the target folder. It can also be the same folder or the desktop.
- As soon as you release the mouse button in the target folder, a copy of the file (s) will be saved there. The original file remains in the source folder.
