Enter the 10 most useful symbols with the Alt key
You can use the Alt key to enter various symbols that you will not find on the normal keyboard. You can easily type accented letters or mathematical formula symbols, especially in foreign languages, with the Alt key - we will show you how to enter the ten most useful of them.
Enter symbols with Alt on a PC or laptop
On PCs and laptops with the Windows operating system, use the Alt key to enter special characters as follows:
- Hold down the Alt key (caution: not the AltGr key!).
- Enter the desired number combination on the number pad on the right.
- Release the Alt key. The symbol now appears in the text.
