The best tips and tricks for the iPhone browser
If you frequently use the Safari browser on your iPhone, you can save a lot of time and effort with a few tips. We introduce you to the latest and most interesting features.
Safari: Useful functions of the iPhone browser
- Full screen mode: When reading longer texts, it is usually more pleasant to hold the iPhone across. To make full use of the display, click on the button with the two arrows at the bottom right. It makes the address bar disappear at the top and the menu bar at the bottom.
- Reader: If a page is fully loaded, a button with the label "Reader" appears at the top of the address line. Click on this and you will receive the article or website in plain text format. All images and advertisements are hidden. You can use the button in the top left corner to increase or decrease the font size slightly to greatly.
- Reading list: If you still want to view a website while on the move, but do not have mobile internet, you can add it to the reading list. To do this, click on the button with the arrow in the lower center and select the item "Add to reading list". The page is then saved on your iPhone and can be loaded offline at any time.
- History: If you want to quickly jump forward or back several pages, it is advisable to briefly hold the forward or back button. This way you can see the progress of the current session and you can easily jump back several pages.
- Settings: It is also worth taking a look at the settings. You can find them in the Settings app under "Safari". Here you can, among other things, change the search provider or activate "private surfing".
- Scroll all the way up: If you have read a longer text and want to return to the beginning of the page, you do not have to scroll endlessly. Just briefly tap the black bar at the top where you can see the network connection, the time and the battery charge. Safari will automatically scroll to the top.
