Run DOS games on Mac - Here's how
With the "Boxer" app you can run old DOS games on your Mac. We show you how this works in this guide.
Start DOS games on Mac
- Download the Boxer app from the official website and then unzip the ZIP file.
- After unpacking, you will receive the Boxer.app file. You can start this immediately or move it to the program folder to "install" the program.
- After starting you can start already installed games by double clicking on "Browse your games". After the installation, various demos are pre-installed.
- If you want to start your own game, you have to install it first. To do this, click on "Import new game". Drag the folder with the installation files into the next window.
- The next step is to select the installation file. In most cases, this is the "installer.exe" file. The file will open and you can install the game as usual. Make sure that you install the game on the "C:" hard drive and select the "Sound Blaster 16 IRQ 7" sound card.
- After installation, you can start the game from your DOS game library.
