Receive threat as WhatsApp voice message - so you react correctly
Basically, it's nothing new, even if it comes in the modern form of a WhatsApp threat. A few years ago the phenomenon was called chain letter and was actually passed on in paper form.
- The principle is always the same. Any "jokers" or people who just enjoy frightening others send a drone message, in the current case via the Messenger WhatsApp.
- In the message, the recipient is asked to forward the WhatsApp voice message immediately, with the threat that otherwise something bad will happen to the recipient himself or a close person.
- As with chain letters, the creators are primarily concerned with intimidating as many people as possible in such a way that they enforce their will so that their nonsense spreads as widely as possible.
- The Saarlouis police clearly rate these WhatsApp voice messages as hoaxes and strongly recommend that you simply delete the message immediately. The police advise parents to speak to their children and adolescents about this type of threat so that teenagers do not experience any anxiety.
