Elster is supposed to simplify the electronic tax return. If something remains unclear, you can contact support via a hotline. We have summarized all contact details in an overview.
Elster: Contact details and hotline for private users for
You will find suitable answers to many questions about Elster and the tax return in the FAQ portal. To call this up, open the Elster website in your browser and click on "Help, FAQ" at the end of the website (see photo). If your question is not included in the FAQ, you can contact customer service in a number of ways. However, you will not receive an answer to tax questions, the tax office is responsible for this.
- Hotline: As a private user, the Elster team will help you on 0800 52 35 055. The call center is available Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. and on Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Email: Alternatively, describe your problem in an email and send it to " ".
- Form: If you do not want to send an email from your private mail account, you can also use the free Elster contact form. To do this, click on your federal state on the Elster website and select the "To contact form" option on the right.
Elster: contact details for employers
In principle, employers who use Elster can also contact support via the above-mentioned channels. However, there are two exceptions:
- A separate form is available for questions regarding the processing status of the data transfer to the electronic income tax card (ELStAM).
- In addition, another form is available in the event that you cannot access a log after submitting the electronic employment tax certificate after five days.
