If Facebook posts get on your nerves, you can temporarily mute them. You can find out exactly how the snooze function works in this practical tip.
Mute Facebook posts - this is how the feature works
If you are annoyed by messages from your friends or from subscribed pages on Facebook, you can mute them thanks to a new function:
- With the snooze function, you can temporarily not display contributions from certain people and pages. To do this, select the three points and then click on "Switch page 30 days on snooze" in the drop-down menu. You will then no longer see the page or friend's posts for 30 days.
- Note that you’ve still “liked” the page on social media and you’re still friends with someone.,
- Alternatively, you will find the "No longer subscribe to page" button below. This means that you will no longer see any further posts in the future.
Facebook: Use the snooze function for keywords
This feature is still being rolled out and is therefore currently only available to a few users. In the next few weeks, however, all Facebook users should be able to use the snooze function for keywords. The feature is currently only available via the mobile app.
- Call up the desired contribution. Select the three points and click on "Snooze Keywords in this post".
- Now insert all keywords that you no longer want to be displayed, such as spoilers of your favorite series. In the future, you will no longer see posts that contain these keywords - at least as long as you have activated the snooze function for keywords.
- By the way: If you mute the keywords via the app, you will not see the posts in the desktop version of Facebook.
