Rent movies on iTunes: how it works
iTunes has numerous films that you can borrow comfortably and watch from home. You have access to the large film database with your iPhone, iPod, iPad or Mac computer. With "Apple TV" you can also watch movie blockbusters with your television.
Watch films via iTunes on iPhone, iPod and iPad
With your mobile iOS device, you can watch your favorite films on the go. Of course, you must note that the rental of the films is subject to a fee. For a current feature film like "Django Unchained", for example, you have to pay 4.99 euros. You should therefore save your credit card under your iTunes account or load credit with an iTunes card. Some films are also available in a lower "SD" quality, for which you have to pay less.
- Start the "iTunes" app on your home screen. Here you can see an overview of new and current films. If you scroll further down, you can also discover films that are currently available at a lower price. In the search line you can look for your favorite films.
- After you have chosen a film title, you will see, for example, the option "€ 4.99 Rent" on your screen. After touching this point, you still have to enter your password for your Apple ID and the download will start.
- If you have borrowed a film, you have 30 days to watch the film before it disappears from your film library. After the first playback, you have 48 hours to watch the film as often as you like. The film is then automatically deleted from your film library.
