Your Fritz! Resetting the repeater can be useful and a solution if problems arise. In this article we explain how you should proceed step by step.
Fritz! Reset repeater to factory settings
Most Fritz! Repeaters can be reset using the following procedure:
- Connect your Fritz first! Repeater with the mains.
- As soon as the Power and WLAN LEDs light up, press the WPS button or Connect button until all LEDs of the repeater flash simultaneously. This takes about 15 seconds.
- Let go of the button. Now you have to wait until the factory settings of the Fritz! Repeaters are loaded.
- If the power and WLAN LED light up continuously, the factory settings have been successfully downloaded and your repeater reset.
Factory settings at Fritz! Download repeater N / G
Not only does this repeater look different, its factory settings can also be downloaded a little differently.
- First disconnect your Fritz! Repeater N / G from the mains for approx. 5 seconds.
- Then reconnect it to the network and wait again. This time about 10 seconds.
- As soon as "FRITZ" appears on the LED display, tap the touch point on the left until the symbol for loading the factory settings appears. The symbol consists of a round arrow and the letter R.
- Tap the center of the LED display. A tick appears, the symbol for confirming the entry.
- Tap the center of the LED display again. Your repeater now loads the factory settings and is reset. As soon as a circle with two points appears, the process is complete.
