Google Chrome: change default search engine
In Google Chrome, you can search the Internet directly from the address bar. This practical tip shows you how to change the default search engine (Google).
Change default search engine in Chrome
- In Chrome, click the three superimposed bars in the top right to open the settings window.
- Then click on "Settings".
- Now search for the item "Search". Click on "Manage search engines ..." and under the entry "Default search settings" select the search engine that you would like to use in the future (eg Bing or the Yahoo search). Confirm with "Done".
- Alternatively, you can click on the small black arrow under "Search" and select the search engine of your choice from the list. The changes are applied automatically.
