Google Play: cash out - is that possible?
If you have unused credit in the Google Play Store, you cannot simply withdraw it easily. In this article, we'll tell you how and whether that works anyway.
Google Play: Unable to withdraw funds
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to withdraw the existing credit on your own Google Play account. This is expressly stated in the terms of use for the Google Play credit. Detours, for example by buying apps for friends, have not worked so far.
- Note: Credit received through promotions can have an expiration date. Since you cannot have it withdrawn, at least make sure to use this credit in good time.
- Credit received via gift cards, on the other hand, has no expiry date and can therefore be used without a time limit.
- Tip: The Google Play credit can not only be used for Android apps, but also for films, music and books in the Play Store. You cannot buy subscriptions and hardware.
We will show you how to remove one or more of your registered Android devices from the Play Store in our next practical tip.
