Hearthstone: Playing against friends - you have to be aware of that
This practical tip shows you what to look out for when you want to play against friends in Blizzard's "Hearthstone".
- To be able to add your friends to your list you need their so-called "BattleTag". This is made up of the chosen nickname and a unique number, which is preceded by a [#]. With a click on "Add" you invite game partners to your friend list (see picture).
- You cannot challenge each other while you or your friends are active in a running game. It is best to always start challenges from the start screen.
- If you compete against players on your friend list, your hero will increase in rank, but you will not be able to complete any of the daily quests that usually earn you a small amount of gold.
- Even against friends, only the usual ways of communication are available to you in the game: text chat and ready-made emotes (right-click on hero). Make an appointment beforehand with Skype or TeamSpeak if you want to use voice chat.
- If you prefer to be left alone, you can completely deactivate the reception of challenges. To do this, remove the checkmark from "Activate challenge for nearby players (friends list)" in the options menu (accessible via the wheel at the bottom right).
