iPhone: Customize Control Center
The control center of the iPhone has so far only been able to adapt to its own needs to a limited extent. Since iOS11 you have more options to edit the control center according to your wishes.
Adjust the control center of the iPhone / iPad
The Control Center has been available on the iPhone and iPad since iOS 7. Some functions and system settings of the Apple device can be called up via this. Among other things, you can conveniently operate the current music playback, open the calculator and the flashlight function of the camera. Flight mode and Bluetooth can also be switched on and off here. You can only define what should be in the control center since iOS 11 (see next paragraph).
- From iOS 7: Open the "Settings" app and tap "Control center" in the second settings block.
- You can use the two slide switches to determine whether the Control Center can also be opened in the lock screen and whether you want to access it from apps.
- Tip: Deactivate the "Access on the lock screen" switch, avoid that the control center is accidentally activated when the iPhone is in your pocket. If you like to play games that can mainly be operated using a swipe gesture, you should also switch off the switch next to "Access from apps".
From iOS 11: iPhone control center can be flexibly adapted
- Since iOS11, the item "Apply" has also appeared in the settings for the control center. Here you see a list with the currently integrated shortcuts. The functions that can optionally be activated in the control center are displayed below.
- If you tap the green plus sign next to one of these functions, you can also access it in the control center in the future. As soon as a function has been activated, it will of course also appear in the list of available shortcuts.
- If you want to remove a function from the control center, simply tap the minus sign in the settings.
- However, you cannot remove permanently installed functions of the control center. In addition to "Airplane mode", "WLAN", "LTE" and "Bluetooth", these also include "Alignment lock", "Audio playback", "AirPlay" and "Do not disturb".
