If you switch to Ja Mobil you can take your mobile number with you. We explain what you need to take into account when you take your number and how you proceed.
Yes, mobile: This is how call number transport works
To take your phone number to Ja Mobil with you, you first need a Ja-Mobil SIM card and some credit. Do not activate the SIM card yet.
- As soon as you have the new SIM card, cancel your old contract. If you only want to take over the number after the contract has expired, this is no problem. This is particularly easy with the right template.
- If you want to take over the number before the end of the contract, you must ask your previous provider in writing to release the number. The contract and any costs generally continue to exist until the official end. There is also a template for this.
- In any case, note that the contract data for your new and old provider must match so that the number can be adopted.
- If you have canceled and requested number release, Ja Mobil will receive the porting date from your previous provider and pass it on to you.
- Even if you request immediate adoption, it can take up to ten days.
- Wait for the porting date and only then activate your SIM card on //jamobil.congstar.de/.
- In the second step, select "Call number transfer (MNP)".
- Again, make sure that the data is absolutely the same as that of your previous provider, otherwise there may be problems with the number transfer.
