MacBook: Volume cannot be adjusted
If the volume on the MacBook is suddenly no longer adjustable, it can be quite annoying. In this practical tip, we present possible solutions for this.
MacBook: volume not adjustable - that helps
- First switch to "[//praxistipps.chip.de/mac-system Settings-per-shortcut-aufufen-geht-das_28862|System Settings]]" and open the settings for the "Sound" there.
- Here you have to select the internal speakers of the MacBook under "Output". Therefore, make sure that they are set there.
- You can also try briefly plugging the headphones in and then unplugging them again. This way, the loudspeakers are also recognized again.
- An update to your system may also be available. If so, you should install it as soon as possible.
- A simple restart could also solve the problem.
- You can also try briefly penetrating the headphone jack with a bobby pin or a match. This may also help. Be extremely careful, however!
