Install network card in PC - how it works
If you want to install a new network card in the PC, you should note a few things. In this practical tip, we will show you how the installation works without any problems.
Install the network card in the PC - this is how you proceed
- Before you get to work, you should first remove all cables from the PC. Then open the housing of your PC.
- You also have to remove a sheet of metal from the back of the PC so that you can attach the network card there later.
- Then insert the card through the opening that has become free. The PCI connector on the network card must point downwards.
- Then carefully push the connector into the free PCI Express slot until the card is fully engaged.
- In order for the connection to be fixed, it must be screwed on some housings or provided with clamps.
- Then you can close the housing of the PC again and connect all cables. Then switch the PC on again.
- Now you have to install the appropriate driver. However, this is often found and loaded automatically.
- If this is not the case, you can find the latest driver on the manufacturer's website or on the enclosed CD. You can then establish a LAN or WLAN connection.
