Newsbeat tip: This is the best way to use the app
This practical tip shows you how to best use the personalized news app Newsbeat.
Personalize the newsbeat app - how it works
The free Newsbeat app is ideal for listening to the latest news while you are driving. The news is not reproduced as radio news, but rather as a summary of individual online news. We'll show you how to best use the app.
- First, determine the subject areas that interest you. To do this, open the side menu and click on "My Sections". Here you will find different categories such as sports, politics, film or lifestyle. You can also use the radio buttons behind the divisions to weight which category interests you more or less.
- You will also find the item "My News Sources" in the side menu. In the search field with a suggestion function, select the sources about which you would like to be informed. However, only American news sources are available.
- Once you have made the settings, you will receive a number of current news. In turn, brief summaries of the news style articles will be presented to you. If you want to skip or repeat a news, use the foreward or back buttons.
There are many messaging apps. Newsbeat differs from the others in that you have the news read to you and also decide which online sources you want to use - but only from the United States. If you are traveling by car more often, another practical tip will tell you how to display traffic and traffic jam information on Google Maps.
