OneDrive: what does the exclamation mark mean?
If an exclamation mark appears on the icon of the cloud storage service OneDrive in the task bar, you should note the following.
Exclamation mark on the OneDrive symbol means no internet
The exclamation mark means that you currently have no internet connection.
- If you now put data in the OneDrive memory of the device you are working on, then the cloud service cannot carry out data synchronization. Therefore, you cannot access the new data from other devices (as long as the exclamation mark is on the OneDrive icon).
- To load the data into your OneDrive cloud, you need an internet connection.
- There can be a number of reasons for the lack of an internet connection: Perhaps your router and thus the WLAN network has failed, you may also have deactivated the internet connection on your PC / laptop or there are problems with your internet provider.
- As soon as you are connected to the Internet again, the exclamation mark disappears from the OneDrive symbol in your task bar.
