Start Paint manually using the command line command - how it works
You can start Paint manually with a simple command from the command line. This is always useful when the Explorer hangs or you don't want to search for Paint for a long time. You will find the individual steps in our instructions.
Open Paint manually from the command line
- First press the [Windows] + [R] keys to open the command line.
- In the second step, enter the command to start Paint: "mspaint" (without quotation marks). The "ms" stands for Microsoft, because Paint is an in-house Microsoft product.
- Finally, click "OK" to start Paint. The software opens after a few seconds.
On the next page we explain how to mirror an image with Paint.
