Color hair with Paint.NET - so you get a new look
You only need a little time and patience to dye hair. In our picture gallery you will find the following steps illustrated:
- First, open your photo as usual with Paint.NET.
- Press [F7] to open the layer view and add a new layer.
- Double-click on the newly created layer and select the "Overlay" mode. In addition, set the opacity control to approx. 160.
- Now choose the brush and any color and paint over the hair.
- By changing the brush thickness you can also reach thinner areas. You should also use the zoom.
- For individual strands and hair, select brush thickness 1 and roughly re-paint the hair.
- Finally, add a "motion blur" of 5 via "Effects" -> "Blur & Blur".
- If the color appears too strong or too weak, double-click on the layer again and move the opacity slider.
- Finally press [F7] and merge the layers down. Now you can save your work.
- We will show you all the steps again in detail in our picture gallery.
