Reset Photoshop to default settings - how it works
You can reset the Photoshop settings to the default values at any time via the program settings. You can find out how this works and what you should pay attention to in this practical tip.
Photoshop: Reset default settings
Usually, you rarely need to reset Photoshop settings once you've adjusted them to your own needs. However, if you do want to restore the default settings, there is a quick way to do it. Note, however, that you cannot undo this step.
- If you have just opened Photoshop, close the program.
- Open Photoshop again and immediately click the following key combination: For Mac use [Cmd] + [Alt] + [Shift] and for Windows press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Shift]. Important: You must press the shortcut immediately after clicking on the program icon.
- Then a dialog opens in which you can delete the file with the Photoshop settings. Click "Yes" here to reset the program to the standard settings.
