PS4: Save videos and screenshots to USB stick
Recorded videos and screenshots of your PS4 can also be saved to a USB memory. We'll show you exactly how you can export the data.
Save media from the PS4 to a USB stick
After you have saved one of your videos on a USB stick, you can then edit it and upload it to YouTube:
- Insert a USB stick formatted as FAT or FAT32 into a USB slot on your PS4.
- Start the "Recording gallery" program in the app overview.
- Here you can see an overview of all games in which you have created videos and screenshots. You can either copy all of the media in a game or individual recorded files from a game.
- After deciding on a video or screenshot, press the "Options" button on your PS4 controller.
- Select "Copy to USB storage device" in the menu on the right.
- Now mark the media you want to copy with a tick and confirm the selection at the bottom right with "Copy".
- Your PS4 would like to automatically create folders on the USB stick and shows you the folder structure beforehand. Confirm with OK".
- After the copying process is finished, you can remove the USB stick. You can now read out the copied videos and screenshots on your computer.
