Quick Time Player: Take a screenshot
If you want to save the current image in the Quick Time Player, you can do this with a screenshot. We'll show you how it works on Mac OS X and Windows.
Take a screenshot in the Quick Time Player
- Stop the video at the desired location or take the screenshot at the appropriate moment.
- To do this, click on the "Copy" option under the "Edit" category in the menu bar.
- The screenshot is then on the clipboard. You can now insert the picture into various programs.
- The extremely popular Gimp software is suitable for further image processing.
More ways to take screenshots on Mac and Windows
- On Mac, you can take a screenshot using the key combination [cmd] + [Shift] + [3]. The image is then saved on your desk.
- If you only want to save a certain area of the screen, use the combination [cmd] + [Shift] + [4].
- A screenshot is also possible under Windows. Use either the snipping tool or the key combination [Print] + [Windows].
