How to properly descale your Saeco Lirika
A warning symbol appears on the Saeco Lirika coffee machine that prompts you to descale the machine. This step-by-step guide will guide you through the process.
- First switch on the device and wait until the machine has fully heated up.
- Use two fingers to pull the end piece out of the milk frother.
- Press the first two buttons on the top right of the machine for about five seconds. You can now program the device using the on / off switch.
- Now press the lower button on the right side until the CALC CLEAN option appears.
- Start the descaling process with the top left button.
- Now put a bottle of the enclosed descaler in the water tank, you can also use 250 milliliters of universal liquid descaler.
- Fill the rest of the tank with tap water up to the CALC CLEAN mark.
- Reinstall the tank and place a collecting container, for example a Tupper can with a capacity of at least 1.5 liters, under the hot water nozzle.
- Start the process with the first button on the left.
- If the entire tank is empty, clean it thoroughly and fill it with tap water up to the MAX mark.
- Now empty the collection container and start the flushing process again with the first left button.
- Repeat the rinsing process until the display shows the message CALC CLEAN again. Your Saeco Lirika is now completely descaled.
