Secure payments at Kaspersky - how does it work?
Set up the "Kaspersky Internet Security" virus protection software, and you will find the "Secure payments" section. This is about making your online banking as secure as possible and preventing the loss of confidential data. For this purpose, Kaspersky creates additional protection and checks the authenticity of the certificates of the websites visited. This prevents access to fake websites. Here you can find out how to set the security tool correctly and what you should pay attention to.
Set up secure payments at Kaspersky
- Open Kaspersky and click on the "Secure payments" button at the bottom right.
- A new page opens. Click on the "Add" button (see screenshot) and enter the website of the desired payment system - for example PayPal. The protocol "//" is already entered before the URL.
- You can now enter a short description or an abbreviation for the bank or the payment system. Then click on "OK". Repeat the steps for all the websites you want.
Manage websites in Kaspersky and make further settings
- To activate the "secure payments" go to the "Settings" button on the start screen of the software.
- You are now in Kaspersky's "Protection Center" and are looking for the "Secure payments" button at the bottom left.
- The options open by ticking "Activate secure payments".
- In the table below (see screenshot) you can see all the websites you have saved, for which "Secure payments" is activated. If you double-click on one of the lines, you can set whether the action should first be requested or started automatically when you visit this website.
- Then click "Apply" to save the new settings.
