Uninstall Silverlight - Here's how it works
If you have a problem with Silverlight or you accidentally received it through a Windows update, you can simply uninstall it. Our instructions will help you with this.
Uninstall Microsoft Silverlight
The fastest way to install is using Microsoft's Fix-It tool for Silverlight. Simply run the downloaded file and follow the further steps. Silverlight is searched and completely removed. Alternatively, you can uninstall Silverlight yourself via the Control Panel:
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Uninstall a program" function under the "Programs" category.
- Find Silverlight from the list of installed programs and click on it with the mouse.
- Then select the "Uninstall" button above and follow the instructions for uninstalling.
- After a few moments, Microsoft Silverlight is completely removed from your computer.
