Spotify: The different subscription models

There are four different subscriptions that you can take out on Spotify. We will explain the Spotify Premium subscription with student discount separately in the next chapter. All extend automatically. Read here how to cancel Spotify Premium.

• Spotify Free: As the name suggests, this subscription is free. However, they accept commercial breaks, cannot skip songs and cannot use playlists offline.
• Spotify Premium: This service costs 9.99 euros per month and offers you offline use, skipping songs, high audio quality and is ad-free.
• Spotify Premium Family: The subscription costs 14.99 euros per month. You get the same range of functions as with "Spotify Premium", but you can create different accounts, so that when you use several people, everyone can listen to their own music.

Use Spotify Premium with a student discount

All pupils and students can use Spotify Premium and only have to pay 4.99 euros per month. Here's what you need to do:

• To get student status, you need to verify on SheerID.
• You need to verify yourself annually after completing your student subscription to keep the monthly price of 4.99 euros for Spotify Premium .
