Playing super Nintendo games on Wii U - is that possible?
The Super Nintendo games are cult and therefore still very popular today. We will clarify whether you can also play the games on the Wii U.
Play SNES Games on the Wii U - how it works
The Super Nintendo (SNES) is probably one of the most popular consoles in recent years. The games are the cornerstone of today's games and therefore so popular. Of course, you can't just plug the old SNES games into the Wii U. But there is another solution.
- Nintendo itself provides the solution and it is called "Virtual Console".
- In Nintendo eShop you can download the cult games from Super Nintendo or Gameboy, for example "Super Mario Kart" or "Super Mario World"
- Depending on how many games you have already loaded, you need to provide your Wii U with more memory in the form of an SD card up to 32 GB.
- You can then start and play the games as usual via the home menu.
