Ubuntu: Mount hard drive
If you want to automatically mount a hard drive under Ubuntu, you only need the correct configuration. We'll show you how it's done.
Mount hard drive under Ubuntu
- Open the dashboard in the top left and search for the category "drives".
- Select the desired hard disk on the left and the file system under the category "Disk".
- Click on the icon with the two small gears below the partition and select the "Edit mount options" option.
- Activate the options "Mount at start" and "Show in user interface".
- Move the controller from "Off" to "On" at the top and close the window with the "OK" button.
- The next time you start this hard drive will be mounted automatically. You can now repeat this process for all other hard disks.
