VLC Player: Edit video with filters
In VLC Player you can edit your videos with numerous filters. We'll show you how it's done.
Filter videos in VLC Player
- Open a video with the VLC player and click on "Tools" in the menu bar at the top.
- If you select the "Effects and Filters" item, a new window opens.
- Here you can see both the "Audio Effects" tab and the "Video Effects". For video effects, you will find the most important filter settings under the following two groups:
- Accuracy: If you tick the "Image adjustment" item, you can set the values for hue (removes color cast), contrast, brightness, saturation (changes the intensity of colors) and gamma (changes the brightness values and contrast).
- Colors: Here you can, among other things, reverse the colors or make the video appear in a sepia look.
- Change the position of the controls until you are satisfied with the result. If you are not very familiar with the program, you should not change too many values, but concentrate on a few.
