Using the Wii U without a gamepad - is that possible?
Basically, the gamepad is part of the Wii U and accordingly has some important functions.
- For example, you cannot get into the system settings without the gamepad. You cannot operate the eShop without the gamepad either.
- If your gamepad has broken, you may get an inexpensive used controller for the console on the popular classified ads such as eBay.
- With games, it is completely different whether the gamepad of the Wii U is required or not.
- With some games such as Mario 3d World or Mario Kart 8 you do not necessarily need the gamepad of the Wii U, whereas you need it with other games such as Monster Hunter or Splatoon.
