Windows 10: Single click instead of double click - how it works
Usually you start programs with a double click. Under Windows 10 you can also activate the single click and thus call up individual files with just one mouse movement. In this article, we will show you where to find the necessary settings.
Enable single click in Windows 10
With a touchscreen monitor in particular, it is more convenient to start programs with just a tap or a mouse click. Therefore, you can disable the double click in Windows 10:
- Press the key combination [Windows] + [E] to open the Explorer.
- In the top bar, switch to the "View" tab.
- At the end, click on the "Options" entry. Now a new window opens.
- In the "Mark elements" section, activate the "Open with a single click" option and save the changes with "OK".
If you want some variety on the desktop, you can change the mouse pointer in Windows 10.
