If you want to block Internet access for a program, you can block the process via the Windows Firewall. Our instructions show how this works.
Block the program via the Windows Firewall
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Windows Firewall" under the "System and Security" category.
- Click on the "Advanced Settings" on the left and then select the "Outbound Rules" category on the left.
- If you click on the "New rule" option in the top right, another window opens.
- Here you select "Program" and in the next step look for the EXE file for the program.
- You do not have to change anything in the following steps. Finally, give the rule a name to block the program.
- Note: If you want to block a service, select "Custom" instead of "Program".
