Copy WordPress pages - how it works
A free plugin helps you to copy into WordPress pages. You can find out how to do this in this practical tip.
The "Duplicate Post" plugin
This plugin adds to your WordPress installation the option to simply copy pages and posts with a click.
- Navigate to "Plugins" -> "Install" and enter "duplicate post" in the search field.
- Click on "Install" and after the installation click on "Activate plugin".
- After activation, you will see the "Duplicate" entry in the navigation menu under "Pages" and "Posts" under the listed elements.
- If you click on “Duplicate”, the page you selected will be copied and saved as a draft.
More setting options
The plugin allows you to specify exactly which details should also be copied.
- In the menu "Settings"> "Duplicate article" you will find further settings for the plugin.
- There you can tick whether only the short version of the article should be copied. You can also decide whether categories, attachments, keywords etc. are to be copied.
