Youtube: Let videos play in an endless loop
This practical tip shows you how to play YouTube videos in an endless loop.
Play YouTube videos over web pages in an endless loop
As a video platform, YouTube has no function with which you can play videos in a continuous loop. However, there are some websites that do this.
- TrashnetYouLoop: Find your favorite video and copy the URL. Go to YouLoop. Paste the URL into the box and click "Loop" to play the video in a loop.
- YouRepeat: Click on the desired video in YouTube. Replace the word "tube" in the URL with the word "repeat". Clicking "Enter" takes you to the "YouRepeat" website. Your video will then automatically play in a loop.
- YouTubeRepeater: With this variant you can start your YouTube videos with a mini player and move or enlarge them as you like. Add the word "repeater" after "youtube". Press "Enter" to start the loop. Now click on "Launch Mini Player" to convert the video into a small browser window.
Set up continuous loops on YouTube with add-ons
Add-ons are browser extensions with which you can play YouTube videos in an endless loop. Whether Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, both browsers provide you with extensions with which you can finally get rid of the replay button.
- Download: Open your browser and download the desired extension. For Chrome, use "SmartVideo for YouTube". If you use Firefox, download the "YouTube Auto Replay" add-on.
- Install: Install the extensions. Then restart the browser when prompted.
- Play: Open the YouTube video. Select the "Loop" button or "AutoReplay" button located below the video. The videos can be played in an endless loop.
- Set loops: With "SmartVideo for YouTube" from Google Chrome you can change the setting so that all videos are played in a continuous loop. To do this, navigate to Settings -> Extensions in the browser. Click on "Options" within "SmartVideo for YouTube". Check "Play all videos in a loop". With "YouTube Auto Replay" for Firefox you can set the interval of the video to be played.
