The following tips should help if your PC starts up again on its own:
- In the newer Windows versions (Windows 8 and Windows 10) this can be adjusted by a setting. First open the "Control Panel".
- Then click on "System" and then on the left on "Advanced system settings".
- In the "Advanced" tab you have to click on "Settings" under "Start and restore".
- Remove the checkmark at "Carry out automatic restart" (see picture) and save with "OK".
- If this does not help, or if you are using Windows 7, you should first make sure that you have installed all updates for Windows.
- Then check your computer for faulty system files. To do this, click on "Start"> "All Programs" and right-click on "Command Prompt". Select "Run as administrator" and enter "sfc / scannow".
- In some cases, another hiring may be responsible. Go to "Control Panel"> "Power Options"> "Advanced". "Shut down computer" must be selected under "When you press the power button".
